RedCat’s SmartREST is a Windows based software program that organizes and automates order taking, pricing, sales management, wages, inventory management and all aspects of your financial management processes, including all your BAS reporting. Unlike competitor products, SmartREST is a comprehensive, active system built specifically for Hospitality and Retail businesses that recognize that customer service and automation are necessary to grow quickly and profitably.

Company

Our headquarters are located in the centre of beautiful Adelaide, South Australia. On December 1, 2006, we significantly increased our office space by moving into CBD offices to accommodate our past growth and continued expansion. Possum IT is a privately-held organization.

The Management Team

Possum IT is owned and operated by entrepreneurial small business owners who saw a need in the market for automated business solutions. Since inception, we have worked tirelessly to provide real-world solutions to other, like-minded small businesses. Our talented team has extensive technology and small business expertise.

Pat Hollis – Managing Director

Pat has spent the last 25 years helping entrepreneurs leverage technology to accomplish their lofty business goals.

Although his formal degrees in Business and Computer Information Systems focused more on helping “Corporate Australia”, his real passion and skill is in arming the small business entrepreneur with the tools needed to compete with and out-perform large companies and other competitors.

His unique mix of technical skills and entrepreneurial sense has been instrumental in continually providing businesses with products which consistently add dollars to the bottom line.

Having held executive management roles at some of Australia’s largest organisations, including Southcorp, Mayne and Ernst & Young to name but a few, Pat has been “under the covers” of some of the most successful operations in the country. This exposure continues to feed his unquenchable appetite for learning what makes businesses, both large and small, succeed.

Outside of work, Pat is a family man. With 2 great kids, Pat and his beautiful wife Sue have been truly blessed. The whole family are sports nuts, and Pat loves nothing more than cheering his kids on in their sporting endeavours.

Nick Hindle – Operations Manager

Nick has been involved in the IT industry for over 10 years, having held senior technology positions in Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and Australia. Nick has extensive experience applying technology solutions to business problems. His clients have included both international corporates as well as small businesses.

Nick is in charge of all project deliverables, systems administration and internal IT. This includes managing all customer service engineers, quality assurance, vendor relationships, systems administrators and product deliverability. Nick’s entrepreneurial roots combined with his technical experience make him uniquely qualified to help lead Possum IT to success.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys keeping fit, playing golf and is an active member of his church group.
